December 25th -Jesus Christ is Born

Doesn’t today feel different? Doesn’t the light feel different? Doesn’t the feeling in the air feel different? It is because you have spent this month learning about your family tree and the great King that came from that family tree. It is because you have spent this month glorifying God and His love for you because you love Him. In Luke 2:11-19 It tells of the angel that came to the shepherds to tell them about the greatest joy ever, a Savior who brings Glory to God and peace to all men and women. The shepherds ran to see. What a beautiful lesson, they ran to see Jesus.

There is nothing greater than Jesus and God who have given the gift of life, not just this life we are living right now, but to continue with them forever. Forever is a long time, but it’s the best way God shows that He loves you. He gives you opportunities to keep growing and progressing and becoming like Him. There is more to this life than we can see. There is more than we can understand, but it is real, and we all can rejoice in the glorious fact that Jesus takes away the sting of sin and the hurt of affliction and the grief of loss. He took it all on so that we might go beyond all that sadness and pain to become like God. Jesus overcame death by rising from the dead. You know that we live more than this life because He lives and guides us by the Holy Ghost so that we can reach to Him to handle the things we have to do in this life. He just asks you to BELIEVE Him, Trust Him. He is the one that heals and gives us the peace that surpasses our mortal understanding.

The awesome thing in in the scriptures that we have read this year they testify of Jesus Christ in so many ways. And they tell us that He WILL return. That family tree that we belong to is His family tree and your family tree and He is asking us to bring all of the family tree to know Him. He is asking us to take care of the people within the family tree. He is asking us to love God who sent us, and in doing so we will learn to love His children. Jesus knows what we need. He comes to us if we just invite Him into our stories. He is always there. His timing is divine, and He wants you to trust it.

This Christmas season write a letter to God thanking Him for sending you to the earth at this time so that you can know about Him and His Glorious Son. Thank Him for the scriptures that each us how to have a relationship with the Godhead. Thank Him for the people in your life that have helped you in any way. Thank him for the world that we live in and the beautiful miracles that He gives each day. Thank Him for the opportunity you have to talk to Him through prayer. Thank Him for the Gospel of Jesus Christ that helps you to anchor your soul to Him. Thank Him for sending His Son and loving us so much that Jesus takes on every sin and hurt and difficulty, and we can make it through with Him. Thank God for the knowledge that Jesus will return again, and He will be our King and we will keep learning and growing because of Jesus Christ. Thank Him for just loving you. Keep all these things close to your heart. Open your heart to Him when you are feeling stuck. Let Him help you through the stories in the scriptures. Let Him help you as you pray. Let Him help you as you sing. Let Him help you as you humble yourself and give your worries to Him.

Jesus is the everlasting star for our lives now and into forever. He is the one that brings us light and He the one who is light. Remember how bright the sun is and how much brighter He is. His love shines for you all the time. Don’t give up on Him because He NEVER gives up on you.
