December 5th - Abraham

Noah had a son named Shem who had a many, many, many great-great grandson named Abram. God came to Abram one day and asked him to trust Him and leave all that he had behind. God said that He would do a new thing to help people to follow God and remember He loves them so much. Abram did as God asked. Abram trusted that God would take care of him. And God did. One night as Abram was looking up in the darkest, blackest night God asked, “Do you see all the stars? Can you count them all?” Abram looked up at the million, billion, trillion stars and couldn’t count them all, but God said He would make Abram a blessing to all people, more than he could count, just like more than he could count all the stars. You can read in Genesis 12: 2 about the covenant God made with Abram that his family would be a blessing to all people throughout all the earth. And because you are from Abram’s family that means you get to bless people too. You get to share about the best blessing we receive, which is Jesus Christ, God’s best gift to all the people on earth.

This Christmas season find someone who you can bless by telling them about God’s greatest gift of Jesus.
